Community Programming

These are some of the programs that are offered in partnership with the community:

  • Children's Therapy Initiative - A joint committee that involves Child and Family Services, Community Living, Mental Health, Public Health and the School Division working in collaboration to enhance and coordinate local services to meet the diverse needs within our community.

  • Crisis Management Team - A collaboration of a wide variety of community agencies that respond to emergencies within our community.

  • Pre-school Literacy Program - Offered to Pre-Kindergarten aged children, example: Read-To-Me and Kindervention.

  • School Facility Use - Offered through a wide range of recreational and community groups including the Awasis Tipiskaw, Youth Center, Community Choir, etc.

  • Preventing Alcohol Related Trauma in Youth (P.A.R.T.Y) - Sponsored by Northern Health Region education students on the effects of alcohol use and tragic events.
